Atoofa Samo is a Research Associate at the Karachi Urban Lab. She has an M.Phil in Anthropology from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. At KUL, she looks at how lower-income groups take measures in informal ways to accommodate and react to extreme heat; what are the available resources, practices and indigenous knowledge through which people satisfy their necessities for cooling.
