Gideon Mathson is a Sociologist who recently taught as an assistant professor at the Department of Sociology and Social Work, Christ University. His work focuses on the aftermath of the floods of 2013, and looks particularly and in detail at the land and built structure compensation process following the flood. Mathson is a visiting fellow at the Centre de Science Humaines. He is currently engaged in starting a larger archival project on laws that curtailed vagrancy in the country and is also developing a project that looks into the incidence of violence faced by the homeless in Delhi.
