Matt Birkinshaw works on urban infrastructure, governance and development with a focus on South Asia. He is currently a Research Fellow at SOAS Anthropology, where he is looking at urban governance, land, water and technology in India. He has also been a Postdoctoral Fellow at Aga Khan University, working on community water in Gilgit Baltistan.
