Jake Smaje is a PhD candidate in Human Geography and Urban Studies in the Department of Geography and Environment at the London School of Economics and Political Science. His research looks at the ways in which seasonal labour migration from coastal Bangladesh is embedded within the context of land use change, environmental change, livelihoods and labour.
